ive been gone for a min

yesss im back! I havent blogged in a few days due to my wonderful birthday weekend, made possible with my fabulous family and friends whom I love with all my heart. Some highlights from the weekend
- Getting my customized Melody Ehsani Jewelry (if you dont know bout her, you betta ask somebody! Her stuff is ridiculously bomb! melodyehsani.com
- My parents bought me a book titled "What I Wish I knew When I was 20"...accompanied with Chapter titles such as "Buy one, Get Two Free", "Turn Lemonade into Helicopters", and "Will This Be on the Exam"...excerpts from the book coming soon =]
- my sisters bought me tickets to the America's Most Wanted concert this weekend featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, and otherss!
- had a bonfire wit my buddiess =]].
..and
- my friends threw a poppin party




So, all in all I had a pretty great weekend and now that I'm 20, I think I am actually a little bit wiser than I was when I was 19..haha go figure. Im at a pretty good place in my life and I am pretty content with where I'm at but I'm just at that awkward age of 20.....now begins the countdown until I turn that big 2-1..until then I will do my best to love my life and everyone in it! Ok, I may late on this particular fashion tip, but sh-eeesh, when did g-shocks become the next essential new fashion item? I remember coming into 5th grade, my first time in public schools, when "baby-g's" were all the rage. Well maybe its just the fact that they just threw a bomb party, Kanye performed, and a fight broke out (a good function aint nothin without a proper brawl..haha jk..kinda) Lol, guess its just one of those trends that recycles itself. ahhhh the theatre...

Included on the long list of things that I love are plays and musicals...yea it may seem kinda corny but I really enjoy them. Ever since I watched a high school production of "The Wiz" when I was in 3rd grade...Ive been hooked! And...I just found out that the play "Wicked" is playing in SF. I dont think I have ever actually seen a play in a theater before...its one of the "things i have to do before I die". Anyways, heres a few plays I enjoy ..check em out =]

good and bad hairr

The debate between what is "good hair" and what is "bad hair" is about to hit the big screen. I, personally, dont believe the hype. I don't think that good hair necessarily equals long,straight and flowing....although my opinion may be contradicted by the 18in weave on my head..haha. But, i digress, for me, black hair is beautiful, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. AS long as your hair is thick and healthy...maybe a lil length if possible, that hair is good to me! Anyways, Chris Rock is making a documentary on this age old debate...im sure it will be hilarious! My mom felt the need to show me this trailer when it came on television...shes trying sway me in the opposite direction from weaves lol. I think i had pretty good hair as a kid tho hahaha =D

But I mean, i think if you ask the typical black man what kind of hair they like on a girl, they will not say natural...most guys just say they want a girl to have long straight hair...even better if the girl just naturally has long hair...sigh...the world we live in...lmao anyways..here is the trailer for the movie
